School Awareness

Over the past for several years, EPF has committed to environement and  diversity awareness, on several different levels.

A committed company

In 2006, EPF signed the United Nations Global Compact, to signify its respect for fundamental values. In signing the Global Compact, EPF committed to 10 principles on human rights, labour standards, the environment and anti-corruption. EPF is committed to applying these principles as part of its strategy and its activity.

Promoting diversity and persons with disabilities

EPF takes part in the "Groupe d’Ouverture Sociale". This initiative was launched by the Grandes Ecoles to foster openness to all students, in particular those on need-based scholarships. For several years now, they have worked on projects or teaching methods that encourage a socially-diverse student body. EPF is working on this initiative in partnership with a secondary school in Chatenay-Malabry.

A commitment to renewable energies

By purchasing "Equilibres +" certificates from EDF, EPF helps foster the development of new, low-pollution electricity technologies that use solar energy and photovoltaic cells. The principle is simple: a portion of what EPF pays for electricity is used to finance renewable energies.

A new specialization dedicated to the environment

In 2009, EPF introduced a specialization in Environmental and Innovative Engineering. This specialization aims to meet companies' needs for workers skilled in issues related to the environment and sustainable development. It trains committed engineers, and its methods focus primarily on innovation.
