Exchange students

Before completing your application, please carefully read the explanations below.

Eligibility

To be eligible to study as an exchange/Erasmus student at EPF, your university must have a reciprocal agreement with EPF.

Please note that EPF only accept students for a study period, and not for an internship (or for a Final Project / thesis).

Academic calendar

The academic year is divided into 2 semesters:

  • Fall semester: from beginning of September to end of January
  • Spring semester: from end of January to end of June

An orientation meeting is organised during the week before the beginning of the classes.

Courses available

During the fall semester, only 5th year courses are available.

4th year courses are taking place during the Spring semester.

1st to 3rd year courses are not open to exchanges.

Language requirements

As you already know, most courses are conducted in French. In order to successfully complete modules and courses, you must first demonstrate sufficient French language skills. A B1 level in French is required, if you select courses taught in French.

Students who have selected courses taught in English will have to prove a B2 level in English.
Official test results are required (or OLS test results for Erasmus students).

We nevertheless recommend you to get at least a beginner’s level of French language before you arrive in France. An intensive French Language programme is organised during summer.

Other requirements

Exchange students must take and participate in a minimum of 20 ECTS credits/semester (maximum 30).

You will also be expected to attend classes and take all assessment for all of your registered courses at EPF.

Deadlines

For a stay in the Fall semester, the deadline is April 30th.

Students wishing to study at EPF in the Spring semester have to apply by October 30th.
