Foreign students, come prepare your engineering studies while improving your french!

From the beginning of the 2023 academic year, EPF is offering a Preparatory Program for Future Engineers. This program is aimed at students wishing to join its French engineering course.

Objectives of the preparatory program

 

This innovative program allows its participants to improve their level of French before beginning engineering studies at EPF and to prepare themselves for the study of science and engineering studies in France.

Students can begin the preparation program in fall or in spring.

Candidate profiles 

  • Post-Bac in science 
  • Post-Bachelor in specialties related to engineering
  • International students via partner programs of 3+1+2 or 3.5+0.5+2

Program Presentation

For more than 20 years, we have been training international students from prestigious French engineering schools such as EPF, ESTP, École Polytechnique, National School of Advanced Techniques, École des Ponts et Chaussées, Institut d'Optique Graduate School - University of Paris- Saclay, etc.

Our program has been awarded two Quality labels: 

More than 150 students completed this program and, thanks to the high-quality training, the success rate in the final exam reached 90%.

 

Curriculum 

All selected students will first begin their preparatory courses at the CCFS Les cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne in partnership with EPF. From March 2024, they will join the EPF FFS in the Paris-Cachan campus.  French (FLE) training and other scientific subjects are provided by the EPF's FLE Department.

Application procedures

The application file must include: 

Post-Bac : 

  • High School transcripts 
  • Cv and Letter of motivation (French or English)

Post-bachelor as students partner :

  • University report card
  • High School transcripts
  • Cv and cover letter (French or English)

 

EPF recommends that students have an A2 level of French in order to obtain the visa.

It is possible to join the program in October (for the fall semester) or in March (for the spring semester).
The EPF Admissions Committee will examine the files on a "rolling admissions" basis from June 2023.


Registration deadlines: 08/14/2023 for the fall intake,12/20/2023 for the spring intake.
A motivational interview is scheduled after the files have been examined.

  • For one semester: 4690 euros (Prices for the 2022-2023 program are given as an indication of the future price. They are likely to vary slightly from one academic year to another. Visa, insurance, accommodation and living expenses are not included).
  • Application for this program is free.

After the preparation year

Candidates will receive an official certificate + a FLE certificate. They will have greatly improved their understanding of the French language and their skills in scientific subjects.


Candidates according to their profile and the quality of their academic results will have the possibility of joining the undergraduate program (general engineer), or the various EPF Majors.
