Bridging program
Year 4
An international and multicultural class
The bridging program is a semester-long course taught entirely in English, specifically designed for students admitted directly into the fourth year.
This program is open to both French and international students and attracts a diverse range of students from various disciplines and nationalities.
This diversity offers a unique cultural richness and fosters stimulating exchanges, both academically and personally.

Course structure
The semester is organised around three main modules and a cross-disciplinary engineering project:
- Sensors
- Signal processing
- Databases
- Python programming
- Big Data
- Introduction to Machine Learning
- Automotive
- Electrical power (conversion, power electronics)
- Heat transfer
- Business English (TOEIC preparation)
- Intercultural communication
- An introduction to the main fields of engineering
- Working in a multicultural team on a practical project
- Developing project management skills
- Scientific communication
Admission
The bridging programme is open to:
- students in their third and fourth years of engineering school, and those in the first and second years of a Master’s degree (depending on specialisation)
- international students on a dual-degree programme
- holders of a four-year Bachelor’s degree or other international qualification
Application
Registration on AvenirPlus and selection by EPF (application fee of €100, €40 for scholarship holders)
- Period 2: 9 February to 3 May
- Additional phase: from 4 May
- Full review of applications,
- Half-day oral interviews for eligible candidates (a slot to be chosen on the platform),
- Results
- Period 2: 2 June
Additional phase: on a rolling basis from 14 June onwards, depending on remaining places
Countries covered by the Études en France procedure.
International applicants covered by the Études en France procedure (see the list of countries concerned) are required to register on the Études en France platform.
Applications from non-European students are now closed to anyone who has not previously submitted an application via the Études en France platform.
- Register on the Campus France website for your country
- Add the EPF Engineering School course(s) to your course basket
- Once your application has been validated by Campus France, you will have an academic interview with Campus France
- Results will be communicated via the Etudes en France platform
English language proficiency test only: minimum B2 level. Test type: Duolingo or equivalent

Complete your application with the following documents:
- A photocopy of both sides of your identity document
- A photocopy of your A-level transcript
- Certified and translated photocopies of university results and diplomas obtained
- Passport-sized photograph
- Cover letter
- CV
- Results of an official French language test such as the TCF or equivalent (minimum level B1 where applicable)
English language proficiency test only: minimum level B2. Test type: Duolingo or equivalent
Tuition fees: €10,180 (starting in September 2026)
